For Professional Advisors
Learn How We Work With You
At The Estate Planning and Elder Law Group, we believe the most effective plans are the result of close collaboration with our clients and other professionals. We work with Certified Public Accountants, Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioners, insurance professionals, financial and investment advisors, tax advisors, and other professionals to ensure our clients receive the best possible advice and service.
Our Unique Approach
Before our initial consultation with clients, we provide them with a welcome kit that includes a questionnaire. This facilitates a productive first meeting and allows clients to gain an understanding of the decisions they need to make to help us draft plans tailored to their particular needs and goals.
During our initial consultation with clients, we provide general recommendations and quote a fee for the services we will provide. Our clients then receive a retainer agreement that they can sign during the meeting or take home to review and sign at their convenience.
While working with our clients during plan implementation, we sometimes request additional documentation to clarify information and goals. We use a variety of methods to discuss planning options with clients, including personal meetings, telephone and video calls, and email. Ongoing and open communication with our clients is essential to the development of effective plans and the establishment of strong, long-lasting relationships.
During the document signing phase of the process, we devote all the time necessary to explain each document so that our clients understand the plans we have created for them. We patiently and honestly answer all of our clients’ questions.
Once our clients sign their documents, we work with them and their professional advisors to ensure any trusts are properly funded. We also hold regular seminars and events to educate our clients about estate planning trends and concepts. This ensures our clients are aware of changes in the law that might affect them, and serves as a reminder about the importance of plan maintenance.
Our Approach to Working with You
We understand that other professionals have their own unique processes and ways of working with clients. Whatever your approach, we are comfortable working within your system. Our primary goal is to meet the needs of our clients. To that end, we welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you and your team.
